Job Summary

We are looking for a Clinical Project Manager to lead clinical trials from development to closeout, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practices and regulations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical research, project management, and leadership, with the ability to work independently in a virtual environment. As a Clinical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple studies, developing and implementing study plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead clinical trials from development to closeout, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practices and regulations

  • Develop and implement study plans, including study protocols, informed consent forms, and investigator brochures

  • Manage study-specific resources, including study management teams, vendors, and sites

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Clinical Portfolio Management, to review business requests and develop early plans and concepts for optimal study execution

  • Prepare and review study-related documents, including study start-up documents, monitoring plans, and laboratory manuals

  • Ensure that study teams meet or exceed timelines and deliverables

  • Provide critical thinking and leadership when issues arise during study execution

  • Lead or contribute to continuous improvement activities and initiatives

  • Manage relationships with sites, investigators, and vendors

  • Develop and manage integrated project plans, including scope, schedule, cost, and resource allocation

  • Identify and manage risks and issues, including escalation if needed

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:


  • A Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Life Sciences, or a related field

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in human clinical research

  • Experience with IVD products and clinical laboratory processes

  • Clinical laboratory or clinical research experience, with experience in a medical device company a plus

  • Familiarity with CLSI guidelines and other standards

  • Background in Infectious Diseases and/or Cancer

  • Demonstrated experience in microbiology, virology, immunology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or other aspects of clinical laboratory medicine

  • Project management experience, with PMP certification a plus

  • Strong client and vendor relationship management skills

  • Ability to work effectively, independently, and in a virtual environment

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills

Preferred Qualifications

We would also prefer candidates to have:


  • Experience with MS Project and/or recent proven success within a client product development core/extended team

  • Knowledge of clinical trial concepts and practices, including international clinical research guidelines

  • Demonstrated experience in biospecimen acquisition and prospective sample collection protocols
