About the Role

As a Customer Success Manager at Starbucks, you'll play a critical role in driving the success of our marketing and personalization technology initiatives. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, designers, and business stakeholders to design, build, and deliver cutting-edge digital experiences that elevate the Starbucks brand and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities


  • Oversee product planning and development through daily collaboration and decision-making with cross-functional teams

  • Translate customer experience into technical requirements and product solutions

  • Drive technical solutions for complex features and components independently

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our technical architecture and systems

  • Create data flows and functional and technical specifications on a case-by-case basis

  • Define acceptance criteria for product features and ensure alignment with business objectives

  • Collaborate with product managers, engineering, and QA teams to ensure seamless delivery and alignment

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate solutions across multiple technical teams

  • Validate features against customer and business objectives and acceptance criteria

  • Communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders to drive alignment and decision-making

  • Mentor and coach team members on technical product management skills

  • Drive process improvements and optimization across product, design, and development teams

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, applying this knowledge to inform product decisions

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:


  • A strong technical background with experience in product management, engineering, or a related field

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and drive decision-making across technical and business teams

  • A customer-centric mindset with a deep understanding of customer experience and behavior

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive data-driven decision-making

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and product development processes

  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Experience with project management tools, such as MS Project and MS Project Portfolio Management (PPM)

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following skills and experience will be considered a plus:


  • Experience in the retail or hospitality industry, particularly in a customer-facing or product management role

  • Knowledge of marketing automation and personalization technologies

  • Experience with cloud-based technologies and architectures

  • Strong understanding of IT program and portfolio management practices

  • Certifications in product management, project management, or a related field
