As a Remote Support Analyst, you'll be the backbone of our technical support operations, working closely with various stakeholders to resolve complex technical issues, maintain our systems, and drive enhancements. Key Responsibilities



  • Identifies and resolves technical issues promptly, anticipating problems before they arise or escalate, and implements effective solutions.

  • Manages incidents and tasks through identifying, tracking, and resolving guide, deployment, or system issues to a timely resolution.

  • Documents, adheres to, supports, and improves current processes and procedures.

  • Supports the lifecycle of systems and associated components from development to retirement.

  • Installs, facilitates, and/or performs quality testing on supported systems.

  • Develops, utilizes, and maintains tools and scripts to automate deployments, create reporting, and meet guide needs.

  • Leads or participates in project/stakeholder meetings as they relate to defining and communicating deployment and guide requirements, file requirements, and deliverables.

  • Provides guidance and/or direction to customers, teams, and other guide contributors regarding everyday activities, project initiatives, deployment activities, and guide issues.

  • Conducts in-depth analysis to improve system performance, quality, and/or efficiency.

  • Creates and maintains effective relationships with the business and IT teams.

  • Identifies opportunities for streamlining and improving effectiveness through continuous process improvement.

Technical Responsibilities



  • Works on User Story to fix code as small enhancement requests to resolve frequently occurring issues.

  • Troubleshoots Java-based Micro service applications for reported Incidents/issues.

  • Supports solutions to specs on time, within budget, and with an impeccable level of quality and precision to specification.

  • Prepares and provides precise functional and technical specs that support functional requirements.

  • Performs regular system and application health checks to ensure smooth operation.

  • Develops and maintains partnerships with IS Service Desk and other IS teams to ensure the best service and guide.

Essential Qualifications


To succeed in this role, you'll need:



  • Experience working with small enhancement requests to resolve common issues.

  • Proficiency in data loading/extraction and utilities and tools, including SQL tuning, debugging, and resolving UNIX scripts.

  • Knowledge of Java-based Micro service applications to troubleshoot issues.

  • Troubleshooting experience with application software suites.

  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot T-SQL script.

  • Excellent customer support skills and advanced phone etiquette.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of business and IS.

  • Demonstrated strong organizational features in resolving issues quickly.

  • Detail-oriented and possessing strong problem-solving skills, with the capability to analyze a situation for potential future issues.

Preferred Qualifications


While not required, the following experience is highly valued:



  • Experience with Korber/Highjump and or Descartes Route Planning.
