Role Description
The Global Account Owner is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive sales plan that includes new and existing sales strategies for key accounts. They play a lead role in driving a cross-regional sales team and internal employees to penetrate key accounts and aggressively expand relationships.
Gathers detailed information about accounts
Identifies decision-makers
Understands strategic business challenges and priorities
Manages team with analyzing information and prioritizing opportunities critical to accounts
Manages professional sales coordination and account planning and resolves possible account ownership issues
Manages proposals, account or market plans, and forecast/report sales activity
Manages sales teams consisting of both direct and indirect reports
Qualifications
A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
