Key Responsibilities:
- Tutor students virtually in a 1:1 to 1:3 setting, providing high-quality support in math and/or Algebra I
- Complete curriculum reviews for lesson content and use provided materials in sessions
- Build strong relationships with students, supporting their learning and understanding of math concepts
- Review and provide feedback on student progress, as needed
- Participate in virtual tutoring sessions, using online tools and technology
Requirements and Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
- Relevant experience working with school-age learners in some capacity
- Ability to effectively tutor math in both Spanish and English
- Confident knowledge of at least one of the following: algebra I, algebra II, geometry, or pre-algebra
- Ability to instruct and engage students with clear communication and interpersonal skills
- High comfort level with online virtual tools and technology
- Desktop or Laptop using the Chrome browser, a video camera, and a reliable/stable internet connection
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., education, mathematics)
- 1+ years of experience working with students in a tutoring or teaching capacity
- Experience with Google platforms and tools
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels
- Strong knowledge of math concepts and curriculum
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
