About Us

We are a woodworking company specializing in both residential and commercial projects. We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Estimator to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy, efficiency, and has a strong interest in woodworking and architectural millwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for woodworking projects, including materials, labor, and related expenses.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and designs to generate precise estimations.
  • Create clear and detailed Scopes of Work for each project.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to gather all required project details.
  • Use digital tools and software to prepare quotes, manage data, and maintain documentation.
  • Stay up to date with material and labor market prices to ensure competitive and realistic estimates.
  • Ensure all bids are purposeful, complete, and aligned with project objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Estimator, preferably in Architectural Millwork or the construction industry.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with estimation and project management software.
  • Familiarity with woodworking processes, materials, and tools is an advantage.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Technical Requirements

  • Competency in tools such as:

Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets,

Estimation software such as PlanSwift, CostCertified, or similar,

Project management tools (Kanbanchi or Trello),

Communication platforms (mostly Zoom)

  • Stable internet connection and access to a reliable computer for remote work.
