Navasana Inc. is building the underwriting infrastructure for AI-era cyber risk, focusing on automated security assessments and AI-driven underwriting. The role involves working directly with the CTO to develop backend systems, data pipelines, and third-party integrations, taking ownership of features from design to production.

    Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain scalable web applications using Python (Django/FastAPI) and modern frontend frameworks
  • Design and optimize data pipelines for structured and unstructured data, including RAG systems for AI-driven underwriting
  • Integrate with third-party APIs including security platforms (CrowdStrike, Okta), cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), and insurance systems
  • Transition prototype AI features into production-ready, highly available services
  • Implement secure coding practices aligned with SOC 2 requirements and our security-first mission
  • Make critical technical decisions under tight deadlines with limited direction—this is an early-stage company, not a feature factory
    Skills
  • Strong experience in Python and its ecosystem, with solid API design and database management skills
  • Hands-on experience integrating LLMs into functional applications—OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar APIs; familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or vector databases
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience designing pipelines for both structured and unstructured data
  • Experience building and maintaining third-party API integrations
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native services (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure acceptable)
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to own problems end-to-end without detailed specifications
  • Prior experience in insurance or cybersecurity sectors
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tooling
  • Background in security engineering or compliance-sensitive environments
