Head of Legal – General Counsel

Manage all legal risks, ensure compliance with laws (data privacy, IP)
Provide strategic advice to leadership
Oversee contract negotiation (client/vendor), litigation, and internal legal team
Focus on regulatory changes, technology contracts (SaaS, licensing), and intellectual property
Draft, review, and negotiate complex IT contracts (SOWs, MSAs, SaaS, licensing, NDAs)
Ensure adherence to data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA), cybersecurity regulations, and industry-specific compliance standards
Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks
Oversee IP strategy, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets
Advise on legal implications of business decisions, M&A, new market entries
Manage internal and external litigation and regulatory investigations
Develop and implement legal policies, procedures, and training programs

Law Degree (J.D. or equivalent), licensed to practice law
Extensive experience (10+ years), significant in-house counsel time, ideally in BPO, RCM and Healthcare companies
Strong business acumen, deep understanding of commercial law, IP, data privacy, and tech contracts
Good understanding of HIPAA and related areas
Proven ability to lead a legal team and influence senior stakeholders
Familiarity with legal tech (contract management software)
