US Business Lawyer Needed for LLC Formation, Trademarks & Compliance (Long-Term) - Contract to Hire
We are looking for an experienced US-based business lawyer (or a lawyer with deep expertise in United States business law) to support the legal setup and ongoing compliance of a new digital education and services business.
This is a long-term opportunity for the right person.
Scope of Work
We need legal support across the following areas:
- Registering a US LLC (state selection guidance included)
- Advising on ownership structure, operating agreements, and compliance
- Trademark search and trademark registration (USPTO)
- General legal guidance for a digital / online education business
- Advising on contracts, terms & conditions, privacy policy, and disclaimers
- Ensuring the business is structured correctly from a risk and compliance perspective
- Guidance around US banking setup (we understand you may not directly set this up, but advice/referrals are appreciated)
Requirements
- Strong experience with US business law
- Proven experience forming LLCs in the United States
- Experience with trademark registration (USPTO)
- Familiarity with online businesses, digital products, or education platforms
- Clear communicator who can explain legal concepts simply
- Preferably US-based, but open to international lawyers with deep US expertise
