Job Summary:

We are seeking an expert IT Project Manager for a contract role to lead critical projects for our core dealership management system. The ideal candidate will drive complex initiatives by managing large, cross-functional teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, and providing clear communication from the project level to executive leadership.

IT Project Manager - Core Dealership Management System - (Remote)

The role requires candidates with hands-on experience working specifically within a dealership s IT ecosystem and related technology stack. This experience is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:
• Executive & Team Communication: Serve as the primary communication leader, delivering clear and concise status updates to both executive stakeholders and project contributors.
• Project Governance & Delivery: Define and manage project scope, budget, and timelines for large-scale ERP initiatives, using advanced MS Excel for managing complex dependencies and resource allocation.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and orchestrate project contributions from over 30 systems and teams of up to 50-60 people to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
• Production Deployments & Vendor Coordination: Lead the planning and execution of production deployments and coordinate with external vendors to ensure deliverables align with project timelines.
• Collaboration & Workflow Management: Manage project collaboration by creating and administering SharePoint sites, including user permissions. Oversee project tasks and workflows within Jira using a Kanban-style methodology and create and update project documentation in Confluence as needed.
• AI-Driven Efficiencies: Leverage AI-powered tools, such as Large Language Models (LLMs), to create efficiency gains in project management and communication tasks.
• Month-End deployments: the core project includes monthend deployments, which can fall on weekends and require extended hours. Candidates should be prepared for that as part of the role.

Illustrative Project Example:
• Oversee a strategic initiative to migrate dozens of legacy business locations to a standardized structure within the core dealership management system, a move designed to streamline data management, accelerate system enhancements, and improve overall supportability.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience writing business-focused user stories and initiatives.
• Familiarity with data tools such as SQL would be a plus.
