Supply Chain Manager – Controls
- Job Description:
- The Supply Chain Manager - Controls is responsible for planning, sourcing, purchasing, logistics, and supplier management across assigned categories.
- Source hardware/software for Client, EMS, SCADA, PLCs, communication hardware, sensors, and control panels.
- Manage cybersecurity documentation, firmware revision control, and compliance requirements.
- Work with Engineering on interface requirements and control logic compatibility.
- Negotiate service-level agreements for software support and updates.
- Evaluate integration partners for panel assembly or system commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with UL, IEEE, and NEC standards.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned material or service categories.
- Lead supplier selection, qualification, RFQs, negotiations, and contracting activities.
- Manage contracts, commercial terms, delivery schedules, and pricing agreements.
- Drive cost reduction through competitive sourcing, multi-sourcing, and TCO analysis.
- Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews related to quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.
- Lead corrective action processes, risk mitigation planning, and supplier development initiatives.
- Collaborate with planning teams to forecast demand and establish inventory strategies.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels, safety stock, and long-lead procurement plans.
- Monitor material availability, lead times, and production impact risks.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, warehousing, and delivery schedules.
- Optimize transportation, freight, and storage costs.
- Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations.
- Partner with Operations to support production readiness and project delivery.
- Support Quality in Client management and supplier audits.
- Analyze market trends and supply risks across assigned categories.
- Implement process improvements to streamline procurement and reduce waste.
- Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 5–10 years of supply chain or procurement experience; experience with industrial, electrical, or energy-sector components preferred.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract-management skills.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, forecasting tools, and supply chain analytics.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
