Responsible for providing essential support to the nursing staff and delivering direct patient care to patients in a hospital setting. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patient conditions, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients.

Essential Functions

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.

• Provide basic care and comfort, including feeding and repositioning patients.

• Help with patient intake and discharge procedures, including preparing rooms and providing comfort measures.

• Collect and document patient information, including intake and output, and assist with specimen collection as needed.

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and care plans.

• Document patient care activities, observations, and changes accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) or paper charts.

Yes Licenses and Credentials Certified Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician [CNA/PCT] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers required Experience Experience as a CNA in a healthcare setting 2-3 years preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Basic understanding of patient care techniques and medical terminology. - Proficient interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting and moving patients. - Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
