POSITION SUMMARY – Remote Trauma Registrar

POSITION DUTIES – Abstracting

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS –
• High school degree (or equivalent)
• 2+ years’ experience as a Trauma Registrar/Abstractor
• 2+ years of experience with Level 1 or 2 Trauma Centers
• 1 year in Health Information Management
• ICD 10 data abstractor system experience
• AIS 15 Course
• Trauma Registry Course
• EMR/Registries in DI or CDM (trauma)
• Meditech Expanse or Epic or Cerner EMR experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS – Coding or Health Registry abstraction experience; Certified in CSTR or CAISS; Undergraduate (Associates or Bachelor) degree or successful completion of a certified coding program; RHIA, RHIT, CSS, LVN or RN

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT – 6 months

SHIFT / HOURS PER WEEK – Part Time. Flexible hours as long as available for training during normal business hours.

SYSTEMS – Meditech Expanse / Epic / Cerner
