About Our Organization

Rose Law Firm is a U.S.-based, business-focused law firm with a long operating history and a national client base. In addition to its legal practice, Rose Law Firm is building Sentric Legal, a sister company focused on AI adoption consulting and staffing for law firms and businesses.

Across these entities, the firm owns a portfolio of domain names that has not yet been strategically organized, monetized, or deployed. Some domains have resale value. Others have meaningful marketing or brand value. We are seeking a senior professional to take ownership of this asset class and turn it into a coherent, well-managed system.

The Role

We are hiring a Domain Portfolio Strategy & Monetization Lead—a senior, self-directed professional with substantial real-world experience in the domain name market.

This is not an administrative or execution-only role. You will be expected to direct the project, make informed strategic decisions, and execute those decisions in collaboration with internal team members. You will not be spoon-fed tasks, nor will you be expected to function as a legal secretary or general admin. This role exists because we want a capable operator who knows how to run this kind of initiative properly.

Working Structure

  • Schedule: All substantive work is expected to be performed during the required sync window of 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM Pacific Time (U.S.), Monday through Friday.
  • Collaboration: You will work in coordination with:

o An internal administrative team member (execution support)

o A website designer (marketing deployment)

You are expected to set direction and drive the project, not simply follow instructions.

  • Meetings: Availability for scheduled meetings during the sync window is required; camera on (PC/laptop).
  • Time Tracking: Upwork’s automatic time tracker is required for all hours worked.

Scope of Responsibility

1. Domain Inventory, Audit, and Structural Organization

You will take responsibility for compiling and auditing the firm’s full domain portfolio and structuring it intelligently across three ownership buckets:

1. Rose Law Firm (new account) – domains to be retained and used for RLF branding, marketing, or defensive purposes

2. Sentric Legal (new account) – domains to be retained and deployed for Sentric marketing or future initiatives

3. Web Designs Company (existing account) – domains to remain in the current account for resale, holding, or transitional purposes

This includes reviewing registrars, renewal cycles, DNS settings, redirects, prior usage, and identifying risks such as spam history or trademark exposure.

2. Valuation, Categorization, and Strategic Recommendations

You will evaluate domains using practical market judgment, not theory, and categorize them by purpose, including:

  • Immediate resale candidates
  • Hold-for-value domains
  • Marketing and brand assets (RLF or Sentric)
  • Defensive holdings
  • Domains that should be dropped or consolidated

You will provide clear valuation ranges and explain the reasoning behind your recommendations.

3. Domain Sales Strategy and Buyer Outreach

For domains identified for sale, you will:

  • Recommend the specific platforms, marketplaces, brokers, or methods best suited to each domain.
  • Draft and position listings to attract serious buyers.
  • Proactively interface with potential buyers via LinkedIn and targeted email outreach, including identifying buyer profiles, initiating conversations, and supporting negotiations through closing.
  • Coordinate execution support with the internal admin team member, while retaining strategic ownership of the process.

4. Marketing Deployment and Website Coordination

For domains retained for marketing purposes, you will:

  • Work directly with a website designer to deploy domains (landing pages, microsites, redirects).
  • Ensure alignment with Rose Law Firm and Sentric Legal branding and business objectives.
  • Coordinate lead routing, analytics, and performance tracking with internal systems.

5. Work Management and Accountability (How the Work Is Run)

This initiative will be managed professionally, not through scattered emails or ad hoc notes.

All work must be planned, tracked, and documented in ClickUp, which serves as the system of record for:

  • Tasks and timelines
  • Domain categorization and decisions
  • Sales outreach activity and status
  • Marketing deployments and dependencies
  • Open issues, risks, and recommendations

You are not expected to do clerical data entry, but you are expected to operate like a project owner who maintains clear visibility, structure, and accountability.

This Role Is a Strong Fit If You Have Experience With:

  • Buying, selling, or managing premium domain names
  • Domain marketplaces (Afternic, Sedo, Dan, GoDaddy Auctions, Squadhelp)
  • Evaluating domains using NameBio comparables
  • Direct buyer outreach for domain sales
  • Understanding UDRP / trademark exposure
  • Running a domain portfolio as an asset class

What Success Looks Like

First 30 Days

  • Complete portfolio inventory and bucket allocation.
  • Clear recommendations on what to sell, deploy, hold, or drop.
  • Identified priority domains and proposed sales/marketing pathways.

By 60 Days

  • Sales listings live and buyer outreach underway.
  • Initial marketing deployments live in coordination with the designer.
  • Reporting cadence established.

By 90 Days

  • Predictable domain sales pipeline.
  • Marketing domains actively supporting RLF and Sentric initiatives.
  • Clean governance system in place for ongoing management.

Required Experience

  • Extensive, hands-on experience managing, valuing, or selling domain names.
  • Demonstrated ability to direct projects and make independent recommendations.
  • Experience interacting directly with buyers and negotiating sales.
  • Strong written communication and professional judgment.

Preferred

  • Experience using LinkedIn and email for asset sales or business development.
  • Experience coordinating with designers or developers.
  • SEO and digital marketing familiarity.
  • Practical awareness of trademark and UDRP risk spotting.
