  • *Quality Assurance Analyst**
    for a fully remote opportunity supporting MEDS, MMIS, MMRS, and RMMIS systems projects.
  • *Location**
    : Remote from anywhere in the “lower 48” United States. Must be comfortable working Eastern time zone hours.
  • *Duration**
    : 12 months, with the possibility of extension; W2 position
  • *Position summary:
  • The Quality Assurance Analyst/Tester will perform quality assurance (QA) and business interface testing (UI) requirements as well as support User Acceptance (UAT) testing of software coding changes to Medicaid Systems-related data.
  • Testing of changes will include testing with the users and external healthcare providers and trading partners as needed.
  • This project requires interfacing with other agencies and other internal sub-systems.
  • This is a Quality Assurance Tester position, not a programmer, BA, or Project Manager position.
  • *Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with Project Team to test coding changes.
  • Creation of test scenarios, running of tests, analysis of test results, resolution of differences in actual and expected test results and working with Agency to support User Acceptance testing.
  • Communicate effectively in both written and spoken communication.
  • Help with business, process and technical documentation and provide subject matter expertise as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with Agency staff and other contracted staff.
  • *Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • 4+ years of experience with Mainframe
  • 4+ years of experience with COBOL
  • 4+ years of experience with JCL
  • 4+ years of experience creating and executing test scenarios
  • 4+ years of experience with healthcare claims processing
  • *Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Experience with Medicaid
  • Experience with Serena Changeman
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with technical documentation
  • Experience with CA-ADS
  • *Additional skills:
  • Effective Communication Skills (written and oral)
  • Adaptability, flexibility, self- motivation
  • Problem solving, analytical thinking, time management
  • Ability to work effectively in a stressful environment, teamwork
