Job description: Community Unit School District 200 is seeking an Elementary ESL Teacher to provide pull-out services with emphasis in English as a Second Language.



CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT(S):

Current Illinois Elementary Professional Educator License (PEL) with ESL Endorsement/Approval



QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English


• Ability to demonstrate competency in organization, flexibility, and cooperativeness


• Related experience with ELL students in a pull-out program


• ACCESS and MODEL certification preferred

• Test entering students for ELL services utilizing the MODEL and WAPT screeners


• Plan and deliver English language development instruction for ELL students


• Work collaboratively with general education teachers to assess the progress of students on a regular basis


• Confer with parents and teachers concerning individual students


• Consult with classroom teachers regarding curriculum differentiation necessary to meet the needs of the English language learner


• Maintain records for direct served and monitored students


• Maintain and improve professional competencies by attending professional development opportunities


• Attend staff meetings at building and district level
