QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate


• Highly qualified status in Spanish (FF) or other Foreign Language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience teaching HS students


• Ability to build positive relationships with students.


• Strong communication skills


• Ability to use student achievement data to steer instruction.


• Knowledge of Standards-Based Grading


• Knowledge of best practices in teaching

To address the need to bring top candidates in our district during the current shortage, all new DEA members will be hired on a minimum of Step 3 of our DEA Contract, which starts at more than $40,000 per year. Years of experience will be taken into consideration. Those hired will also be offered either Blue Cross/Blue Shield or Blue Care Network medical insurance options available with outstanding coverage, plus dental, vision and LTD, etc OR at least $5000 cash in lieu of benefits, depending on exact needs.
