Virtual LCSW Supervisee Opportunity (Virginia) Trauma-Focused | Telemental Health | Growth-Oriented
Painted Bird Psychotherapy LLC is a trauma-informed, neuroscience-informed, and Christian-based telemental health practice serving adolescents and adults across Virginia. We are seeking motivated MSW graduates (or residents working toward LCSW licensure) who are passionate about trauma work and committed to developing clinical excellence within a purpose-driven environment.
About the Role
This is a virtual clinical training opportunity with strong mentorship and hands-on experience in trauma-informed care. Supervisees will provide psychotherapy services via telehealth while receiving structured support and advanced training.
Specialized Clinical Experience
Painted Bird Psychotherapy proudly partners with the Hazel Gray Foundation to provide group therapy programming for service members, veterans, and their families. This work is supported through funding from the Virginia Department of Veterans Services, offering clinicians meaningful opportunities to serve military-connected populations.
Supervisees will train under trauma specialists skilled in evidence-based practices and expressive therapies, with a distinctive approach that integrates neuroscience, cutting edge evidence based practices, traditional modalities, and biblically rooted principles to support whole-person healing. Clinicians will gain experience in group facilitation, trauma-responsive care, and integrative treatment planning within a telemental health setting.
Training & Supervision
- We are looking for faith filled, dynamic supervisees who are eager to learn and grow in trauma-focused care. Our training model includes:
- Weekly individual supervision
- Open office hours for clinical consultation
- Ongoing professional development through in-person and virtual “lunch and learn” sessions
- Growth OpportunityWe are seeking clinicians who desire to grow with the practice long-term. Painted Bird Psychotherapy plans to expand into in-person services in early 2027, creating opportunities for supervisees to transition into hybrid or in-person roles and contribute to the continued development of the practice.Ideal Candidate
- MSW graduate pursuing LCSW licensure in Virginia
- Strong interest in trauma-informed and integrative care
- Open to incorporating faith-based principles into clinical work (as appropriate)
