Controller | PE-Backed SaaS Startup | Remote A rapidly scaling, private equity-backed SaaS company is seeking a
hands-on Controller
to lead and elevate its accounting function during a critical phase of growth.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a
high-visibility, high-impact role
where you’ll own day-to-day accounting operations, drive financial rigor, and help build the infrastructure needed to scale efficiently. You’ll play a key role in shaping processes, supporting strategic decision-making, and establishing best-in-class financial operations.

This is an ideal opportunity for a
strong Accounting Manager or Controller
with SaaS experience who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead all core accounting activities across the organization
• Collaborate with finance leadership on planning activities, including budgeting and forecasting
• Evaluate and enhance existing workflows, controls, and systems to improve efficiency and reliability
• Work closely with senior leadership to provide financial insights that support business decisions
• Ensure compliance with tax requirements and other statutory reporting obligations
• Build and develop the accounting team as the company continues to expand
• Oversee the external audit process and act as the primary point of contact for third-party auditors
• Drive an efficient and accurate close cycle on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators relevant to a recurring revenue business model
• Produce and review financial reports in line with applicable accounting standards
• Identify opportunities to streamline operations and implement scalable solutions

Requirements
• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Professional certification (CPA) strongly preferred
• 5–12 years of relevant experience with increasing levels of responsibility, including team oversight
• Background in a subscription-based or recurring revenue business model required
• Prior experience in a fast-growing or investor-backed company environment
• Experience driving process improvements and supporting system enhancements is a plus

Salary:
