Field Sales Training Lead

Location: Remote US or Bradenton, FL

Base Salary Rate: $118,766 - $139,725 per year

About This Role

The Field Sales Training Leader serves as the leader of Kidde Global Solutions Commercial Life Safety system sales training function, with direct responsibility for managing the global commercial life safety system field sales training team and primary ownership of sales training execution across North America. This role blends people leadership, strategy, and hands‑on training delivery, ensuring consistent global sales training standards while addressing region‑specific sales training supporting technical and code requirements. The role is responsible for leading a distributed team of regional sales trainers and developing scalable sales training programs and content. In parallel, this position maintains direct accountability for North America (NA) internal field sales and channel partner sales training, serving as both a leader and sales trainer for the region.

Key Responsibilities – Global Sales Training

Lead, manage, and develop a global team of field sales trainers, ensuring alignment to Kidde Global Solutions’ commercial life safety system sales strategy, product roadmap, and go‑to‑market priorities

Establish training standards, curriculum frameworks, and delivery models to ensure consistency across regions while allowing for local adaptation

Partner with Sales Leadership, Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to ensure global training content reflects current products, system architectures, and strategic priorities

Measure global training effectiveness using defined KPIs and continuously refine programs based on performance data and regional feedback

Key Responsibilities – NA Sales Training

Design, develop, and deliver technical and sales training programs for internal field sales team members

Provide onboarding training and ongoing education to ensure sales teams (internal and channel partners) understand Kidde Global Solutions products, system architectures, and applications

Deliver instructor‑led training sessions, workshops, and seminars in classroom and virtual environments

Create and maintain training materials including presentations, course content, and instructional resources

Assess training effectiveness and continuously refine content based on feedback, performance, and field needs

Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance to internal sales team members to strengthen selling confidence and capability

Maintain a strong working knowledge of fire alarm system codes and standards, including applicable NFPA requirements, any country specific requirements, and industry best practices

Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 60%) to support field sales training team members and training initiatives

Basic Qualifications

5+ years’ experience in the Life Safety industry, with strong exposure to:

Fire alarm systems, Low‑voltage systems, and/or systems applications and integrations

Field sales experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent trade experience or certifications

Valid driver’s license required

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing or leading teams in a sales, training, or technical environment, or equivalent experience leading through influence in a cross‑functional organization

Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop others, including sales professionals, trainers, or technical resources

Strong understanding of fire alarm and life safety system technologies

NICET Level I or II or equivalent certification

Instructional design / training credential/certifications, such as Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) or equivalent

Demonstrated ability to explain technical features and benefits, and relevant codes/standard concepts to non‑technical audiences

Experience in a consultative selling environment and active listening skills to identify needs, build relationships, that drive measurable business outcomes

Experience with understanding bid/tender opportunities with contractors and/or end clients

Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments

Ability to work effectively in a remote, fast‑paced environment

High-level proficiency in Microsoft O365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Strong organizational and time‑management skills

Effective presentation and facilitation skills, with experience delivering training to diverse audiences

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Individuals may be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company’s performance. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
