Role Summary

The Director of Sales, US Vehicle Service & Retail, is accountable for building, leading, and developing a high-performing sales organization to accelerate revenue growth and market share across the United States and Canada. This role drives strategic business development with channel partners—many of whom rely heavily on e-commerce platforms—while aligning sales strategy with marketing, product, and commercial priorities.

The ideal candidate combines strong people leadership, channel expertise, and data-driven execution in an industrial or technical sales environment.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Team Development

Recruit, lead, coach, and develop a results-driven sales team

Establish clear performance expectations, goals, and accountability

Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus

Channel & Customer Growth

Own and grow relationships with key channel partners and strategic customers across the US and Canada

Develop and execute joint business plans with distributors, including e-commerce growth strategies

Expand senior-level relationships within distributor and customer organizations

Strategy & Execution

Develop and implement regional sales strategies to drive revenue, profitability, and market share

Consistently meet or exceed annual and quarterly sales targets

Partner closely with Marketing to support demand generation and ensure a healthy sales pipeline

Leverage CRM and standard sales tools to forecast, track performance, and drive disciplined follow-through

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Act as a key commercial voice internally, providing market insights to influence marketing, product, and strategy decisions

Ensure consistent execution of company processes, tools, and policies

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience

7+ years of experience in industrial sales and service environments

2+ years of people management experience, preferably leading sales teams

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
