I’m looking for a skilled and experienced film editor to bring my short film “Happy Birthday Pops” to life. This is a 12–14 minute narrative film intended for the film festival circuit, so I’m looking for someone who understands cinematic storytelling at a high level.
We shot the film on a RED camera, so experience handling high-quality footage and delivering a polished, cinematic final product is important.

Great sense of pacing and rhythm
Experience with color tone and color editing / cinematic look (or ability to collaborate with a colorist)
Ability to enhance scenes with music and score to elevate emotion
Attention to detail in continuity, timing, and tone
Someone who understands how to edit for film festivals, not just social media
Responsibilities:
Assemble and edit a 12–14 minute short film
Shape performances and story in the edit
Collaborate on tone, pacing, and emotional beats
Add temp music / assist with score direction
Deliver a clean, festival-ready cut
Deliverables:

Fine Cut
Final Cut (festival-ready)
Open to notes and revisions through the process
Please Include:
