Proofreader (Greek)
We are looking for a Greek-speaking Proofreader to support short-term, remote document review assignments for a services organization in Burlingame, California. This is a Contract position offering project-based work, with each assignment expected to run for approximately 3 days starting in early . The role focuses on refining written materials for accuracy, readability, and consistency while handling content with care.
Responsibilities:
- Review Greek-language documents in detail to correct errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and layout.
- Improve clarity and consistency so each document reads naturally and aligns with local language standards.
- Compare content against project instructions to ensure all edits follow established quality expectations.
- Complete assigned proofreading tasks within project timelines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Communicate progress, issues, and clarification needs promptly to the project team.
- Handle confidential or sensitive materials responsibly throughout the review process
- At least 1 year of experience in proofreading, editing, or a closely related language-focused role.
- Business-level proficiency in Greek with strong command of written grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Demonstrated ability to identify language issues and apply precise corrections without changing intended meaning.
- Experience using Google Workspace or similar online productivity tools in a remote work environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage short turnaround assignments effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently on contract-based project
