Short Narrative Game in RPG Maker MZ — Personal Creative Project
What I'm Looking For
I'm looking for an RPG Maker MZ developer to build a short, atmospheric narrative game. No combat. No leveling system. Think less "game" and more "interactive emotional experience" — something in the tone of To the Moon in feeling, not scope.
The full creative brief will be shared privately after hiring.
The Game
11 rooms. No combat. No inventory. No stats.
The player walks through a series of spaces that each represent a different emotional chapter of a personal story. Each room has its own atmosphere, interactable objects, and short pieces of text. The gameplay is entirely: walk, notice, interact, move forward.
Total playtime: 20–30 minutes.
What I Need From You
RPG Maker MZ build — MZ specifically, not MV or other engines
Atmospheric tileset implementation per room
Custom lighting and tone per room — full atmosphere notes provided in brief
Dialogue and text event scripting from my written briefs
Background music integration — I will provide all tracks
Clean event editor with labeled comments so I can find and edit dialogue after handoff
Final exported build playable on PC
Milestone delivery — one room at a time
