- Conduct thorough clinical assessments, intake evaluations, and diagnostic evaluations utilizing DSMV and ICD-10 coding systems to inform treatment planning.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based modalities tailored to client needs.
- Implement trauma-informed care practices, including crisis intervention and PTSD-specific strategies, ensuring client safety and stabilization.
- Engage in case management activities such as treatment planning, progress documentation, HIPAA-compliant medical records management, and detailed medical documentation.
- Facilitate social work functions including community outreach, home visits, and coordination with other healthcare providers for integrated care.
- Apply motivational interviewing techniques to enhance client engagement and promote positive behavioral change.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding updates (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and behavioral health research to inform best practices.
- Valid Kentucky state licensure as a Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or Psy.D. "LP") with demonstrated experience in mental health counseling.
- Proven expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral management, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Experience working with diverse populations including children & families, individuals with trauma histories, addiction counseling, and crisis management scenarios.
- Familiarity with hospital settings, home & community care environments, and crisis intervention protocols is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical records management, HIPAA compliance standards, ICD coding systems (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for billing processes, and documentation requirements.
