Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a highly accomplished and dynamic Vice President of Investment Banking with a specialization in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) to join their esteemed team. This executive-level position will be based in Jacksonville, Florida, US , and will be responsible for leading and executing complex M&A transactions, developing client relationships, and contributing significantly to the firm's growth and strategic direction. This role offers a unique opportunity for remote engagement with a focus on client advisory and deal execution.

Responsibilities:
Lead M&A transactions from origination through to closing, including deal structuring, valuation, due diligence, and negotiation. Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, private equity firms, and other financial institutions to identify new business opportunities. Manage deal teams, providing guidance and mentorship to associates and analysts. Prepare comprehensive financial models, valuation analyses, and marketing materials (e.g., Confidential Information Memoranda, management presentations). Conduct thorough industry research and company analysis to support transaction advisory services. Work collaboratively with other divisions of the firm to deliver integrated solutions to clients. Represent the firm in client meetings, industry conferences, and networking events. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies. Contribute to the firm's strategic planning and business development initiatives. Foster a culture of excellence, integrity, and teamwork within the M&A group.
Qualifications:
MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. CFA designation is a strong plus. Minimum of 10 years of progressive investment banking experience, with a significant focus on M&A advisory. Proven track record of successfully originating, structuring, and executing a diverse range of M&A transactions across various industries. Extensive experience in financial modeling, valuation methodologies (DCF, precedent transactions, comparable companies), and LBO analysis. Strong understanding of corporate finance, capital markets, and accounting principles. Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Superior client management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in preparing persuasive presentations and pitch materials. Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience managing deal teams effectively. Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment. Series 79 and 63 licenses (or willingness to obtain them promptly).
