We are seeking multiple passionate and experienced Selling Specialists to represent Tru Fragrance & Beauty's portfolio of brands (with a focus on Lake & Skye, Le Monde Gourmand, and Supersuite) in key Ulta beauty retail locations. The Selling Specialist is responsible for driving in-store sales, delivering impactful education to store teams, executing engaging events, and ensuring the brand is represented with excellence on the sales floor.
This is a dynamic, client-facing role that blends education, selling, and storytelling. The ideal candidate is a confident communicator, fragrance and beauty enthusiast, polished presenter, and motivating presence - someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail setting and believes in the emotional and transformative power of scent.
Responsibilities:
- Sales
- Achieve and surpass daily sales targets set by Tru Fragrance & Beauty during store visits through consultative, client-focused selling.
- Deliver exceptional service and product storytelling, ensuring every customer and retail staff interaction is memorable.
- Maintain a visit cadence aligned with peak traffic periods, seasonal trends, and retailer initiatives.
- Provide sales feedback and insights to the Sales & Education Executive and/or the Senior Manager of Field Sales & Education, helping identify opportunities and celebrating wins.
- Education
- Lead interactive brand and product trainings to store teams, empowering Beauty Advisors, leadership, and brand partners to confidently recommend Tru Fragrance & Beauty's products.
- Deliver engaging, hands-on product demonstrations using tester kits and sampling tools.
- Build strong connections with key retail staff and brand partners to grow a network of Tru Fragrance & Beauty advocates in each store.
- Act as a true brand ambassador by continuously building expertise in both new launches and core collections.
- Relationships
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with store management, Beauty Advisors, and brand partners.
- Keep the Tru Fragrance & Beauty portfolio of products top-of-mind by inspiring store teams, cultivating enthusiasm, and fostering lasting brand advocacy.
- Foster an environment of warmth, support, and inclusivity.
- Inventory & Merchandising
- Monitor and maintain merchandising standards, ensuring visual excellence at every touchpoint.
- Partner with store teams to resolve product and inventory issues, replenish testers, and report low stock.
- Manage personal inventory of corporate-provided samples, GWPs, and gratis, ensuring thoughtful distribution to support sales and education goals.
- Administrative
- Submit timely recaps for each shift, outlining sales results, insights, and opportunities for growth, as requested by Tru Fragrance & Beauty's leadership.
- Participate in virtual brand meetings and check-ins as requested.
- Qualifications:
- 2+ years of retail or beauty industry experience (Ulta, Sephora, Nordstrom, or similar preferred).
- Beauty savvy, passionate about fragrance and customer service.
- Friendly, outgoing, inclusive, and comfortable engaging with customers and store teams.
- Strong communicator; reliable, responsive, and organized.
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, and results driven.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, assist with light lifting, and work weekends/evenings as needed.
- Requirements:
- Schedule: Friday-Sunday availability required. Evening availability preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours) and move throughout the store.
- Reliable transportation to and from designated retail locations.
