    Description:
  • Manage the movement of vehicles into and out of the inspection center safely for repairs while meeting production and quality goals.
  • Meet or exceed inventory production targets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Oversee the day-to-day work of assigned team members and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Coach, develop, and manage performance for hourly associates.
  • Create a team environment that supports positive communication, cohesion, and Carvana’s values.
  • Communicate expectations, performance measures, and goals clearly to team members.
  • Prevent and resolve conflict among team members.
  • Monitor adherence to systems, policies, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Review and approve mechanical and physical defects found in incoming inventory.
  • Partner with the Inspection Center General Manager to repair or reject inventory based on repair cost and vehicle quality.
  • Train production associates on quality control standards to complete repairs correctly the first time and minimize rework.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and reduce the risk of injury or hazardous conditions.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and manage multiple associates in a fast-paced setting.
    Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record for the last 3 years.
  • Experience using computers.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Demonstrated functional expertise in one or more areas of Carvana’s reconditioning process.
  • Demonstrated understanding of current reconditioning processes and lean principles.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and pulling in variable shop conditions.
  • Ability to use required safety equipment such as face shields or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, masks, and protective garments.
  • Ability to maintain high volume and high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and resolve complex issues with guidance.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and variable schedules as needed.
  • Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.
