GreyFox is hiring virtual, outbound sales representatives to pair directly with our in-home sales closers. Your job is to create real, qualified appointments for the closers you're paired with.

The Role

You'll work from targeted lists of existing solar homeowners — these aren't random cold calls. These homeowners already invested $40K+ in solar; you're reaching out to qualify them for adding a battery backup system to what they already own. This role is split between phone and text — you'll spend significant time texting prospects to qualify, build rapport, schedule, and confirm appointments. You'll then hand off the qualified prospects to our veteran closers.

With a quality set appointment, our sales team typically closes 20–40% of held appointments.

Pay Structure — Designed to Get You Earning Fast

We don't throw new dialers into pure commission on day one. Here's how it works:

Training (4 days): $400 flat for completing the full training program. Flexible scheduling — not a full-day commitment, but you must complete all portions of training to receive training pay.

Onboarding (Weeks 1–2): $150/day guaranteed for each day you dial (approximately 6 hours/day, varies by experience). This is your floor while you ramp.

After 2 weeks: Straight commission — $175 per closed deal from your set appointments.

Important: During the 2-week onboarding period, if your commission earnings exceed your guarantee in any week, you get the higher number — never both, never the lower one. Strong dialers often beat the guarantee in week one.

    What this looks like in real numbers
  • Onboarding floor: ~$900/week guaranteed during your first 2 weeks
  • Realistic earnings after training: $800–$1,600/week
  • The compounding upside: Appointments you set in week 2 keep closing in weeks 6, 10, 14. Those checks land in your account too. Setters see their weekly earnings grow as their pipeline matures.

1099 contractor role. No benefits. Completely commission-based after the 2-week onboarding period.

Schedule & Equipment

8 hours/day roughly aligned with Eastern or Central time zones. No earlier than 9am Eastern, no later than 8pm Central. Schedule is otherwise relatively flexible.

No personal equipment required other than a cellphone, but a computer and headset are a plus. You'll receive a Dialpad app and login for your virtual dialer on day one.

Telemarketing, call center, or cold-calling experience is strongly preferred. This is a unique skillset — either you can hold an engaging conversation with a stranger, or you can't. We're looking for the people who can.

  • Hungry — this is a performance role, not a clock-puncher role
