- *About the Role**
As a Customer Service Representative II, you'll play a critical role in delivering unparalleled world-class service to our members, potential members, and non-physician customers. You'll be responsible for handling phone inquiries, responding to service requests, and providing information on AMA products and services. Your exceptional communication skills, product knowledge, and problem-solving abilities will enable you to exceed service expectations and establish loyal relationships with our constituents.
- *Responsibilities**
- Handle phone inquiries and respond to service requests in a professional, informative, and efficient manner
- Provide information on AMA products and services, including membership benefits, pricing, and processing
- Assist with single sign-on registration and password reset for AMA website access
- Support access to AMA journals and online resources, including JAMA and Archives Journals Online and CME Online
- Enter book and subscription orders, research and resolve fulfillment problems, and issue call tags and process pricing adjustments, refunds, and reshipments
- Validate physician identity, collect updated or missing contact and demographic data, and update AIMs
- Participate in USC activities, including training, performance management, USC workgroups, and service center improvement projects
- *Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of customer service and/or telemarketing experience
- Advanced knowledge of AMA structure and organization, AMA periodicals, books, products, and basic CPT-IS, Physician Profile, Physician Select information
- Excellent oral communication skills, and experience communicating with physicians in writing and by phone
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, receive and accurately understand information over the telephone and in writing, and take ownership and anticipate customer needs
- Ability to learn and effectively work with computerized systems and computers, quickly learn and apply product and organizational information, and work effectively in a high volume, production-oriented environment
- Strong listening skills, business writing communication skills, stress tolerance, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task in a high production business environment, work individually and as a team member to solve problems, and demonstrate high energy level, enthusiasm, patience, and positive attitude
