As a Medical Data Entry Specialist, you'll be responsible for:

  • Accurately inputting, processing, and managing medical and administrative documentation for a variety of patients, ensuring that all data is complete, accurate, and up-to-date.
  • Reviewing, verifying, and organizing client documentation to ensure consistency and compliance with established guidelines, including HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborating with our leadership team to prioritize and resolve backlog cases effectively, ensuring that our clients receive the services they need in a timely manner.
  • Conducting quality checks on entered data to ensure accuracy, proper formatting, and completeness, maintaining data integrity by spotting and correcting discrepancies or incomplete entries in a timely manner.
  • Handling sensitive and confidential client information with a high degree of professionalism and adherence to compliance regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Communicating effectively with team members to resolve issues or obtain missing information, providing periodic progress updates to leadership on the status of addressing the backlog.

To succeed as a Medical Data Entry Specialist, you'll need:

  • 2+ years of prior data entry experience, ideally in the healthcare field, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.

  • An Associate's degree in Business or a related field is preferred, but not required.
