    Description:
  • Design and own factory and production area layouts that support clear visual indicators and linear flow.
  • Conduct job walks with vendors, negotiate pricing, and hold vendors to schedule.
  • Host process walks of production lines and identify process steps that can be deleted or simplified.
  • Execute complex projects quickly and cost-effectively.
  • Work hands-on and lead by example to drive rapid project completion.
  • Develop and improve systems and processes between production teams.
  • Build tools to analyze delivery, capacity, and cost problems to support production decisions.
    Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in physics or an engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of mechanical design or hands-on manufacturing experience; internships and project teams may qualify.
  • Process engineering experience, including project management, capacity modeling, process mapping, and layouts.
  • Experience with inventory, production, and capacity planning, including MRP/ERP systems.
  • Experience as an industrial, operations, process, or manufacturing engineer in a developmental manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with industrial facilities such as HVAC, gases, electrical, and structural/foundations.
  • 5+ years of experience using Excel, SQL, or Python/R for analysis or modeling dynamic systems.
  • Experience with lean, six sigma, and related production principles.
  • Ability to work across teams and skill sets to find the simplest and best solution.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, stoop and bend as needed, and travel or work long hours/weekends when necessary.
  • Must meet ITAR requirements and be a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise eligible for required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
    Benefits:
  • Pay range of $130,000 to $180,000 per year.
