Social Media Manager Needed - LA Based
We’re seeking a highly skilled, full-time or part-time Social Media Manager who must be based in Los Angeles. This is not an influencer or “personal brand” role — we are looking for a true professional with deep strategic expertise, not just a large following.
You will own the end-to-end social media presence for our brand, driving measurable growth, engagement, and business results across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Threads, and YouTube. You must be able to think like a marketer, create scroll-stopping content, analyze performance in real time, and stay ahead of platform algorithm changes — especially those relevant to the LA market and local trends.
This role may involve occasional in-person collaboration, local events, or on-location content shoots in the Los Angeles area.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, data-driven social media strategy tailored to our brand voice and business goals.
- Create, schedule, and optimize high-quality content (photos, videos, Reels, Stories, carousels, etc.) that resonates with our target audience.
- Manage daily community engagement, comments, DMs, and influencer/partner relationships.
- Monitor analytics, report on KPIs (reach, engagement, conversions, ROI), and continuously optimize campaigns.
- Stay current on LA-specific trends, local events, and platform updates to keep our brand culturally relevant.
- Collaborate with our creative and marketing team on campaigns, product launches, and seasonal initiatives.
Requirements
- Must live in the Greater Los Angeles area (reliable transportation and ability to attend occasional in-person meetings or shoots is a plus).
- 3+ years of professional social media management experience for brands or agencies (not just managing your own accounts).
- Demonstrated expertise in content strategy, copywriting, visual storytelling, and performance marketing.
- Advanced knowledge of social media tools (Meta Business Suite, TikTok Creative Center, Hootsuite/Later, Canva, CapCut, Google Analytics, etc.).
- Strong portfolio with measurable results — we care about engagement rates, follower growth, lead generation, and sales impact, not vanity metrics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter who can work independently while hitting deadlines.
