As an Experienced Customer Retention Representative, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that customers who call in with the intention of canceling their insurance coverage are provided assistance in understanding the importance of keeping their coverage. You'll be responsible for handling inbound and outbound telephone calls, answering questions about policy benefits and premiums, and accurately documenting the information on our database. Your exceptional customer service skills, combined with your ability to work under pressure and multi-task, will make you an invaluable asset to our team.
- *Key Responsibilities**
- Handle inbound and outbound telephone calls with customers who are calling to cancel their insurance coverage and/or place calls to current policyholders regarding coverage, premium due, as well as other policy information.
- Answer questions about policy benefits and premiums and accurately document the information on the appropriate database.
- Provide assistance to customers in understanding the importance of keeping their coverage and offer solutions to help them maintain their policy.
- Work collaboratively with our team to ensure that customers receive the best possible service and support.
- Meet or exceed performance metrics and targets, including call handling time, customer satisfaction, and sales performance.
- *Essential Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of customer service experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
- Superior customer service skills, including friendliness, efficiency, and active listening.
- Proficient use of the computer, keyboard functions, and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
