Data Migration and Data Entry Specialist
Overview
We are seeking one to two detail-oriented contractors to support a short-term data migration project between internal systems.
This role is focused on structured data handling tasks, including extracting, organising, and preparing information for upload into a new platform or for archiving. The work is process-driven and requires a high level of accuracy, consistency, and adherence to instructions.
This is not a technical or engineering role. It is best suited to candidates with strong administrative and data handling experience.
Scope of Work
Extract data from an existing system (exporting/downloading records)
Organise and clean data in Excel or similar tools
Rename and structure files in line with naming conventions
Prepare data for bulk upload into a new system or for archiving purposes
Conduct basic data checks to ensure completeness and accuracy
Follow defined workflows and instructions precisely
Key Requirements
Ability to provide at least 2–4 hours daily overlap with Australian business hours (AEST) for communication and coordination.
Strong attention to detail (critical)
Experience working with Excel or similar tools
Ability to follow structured processes and naming conventions
High level of data integrity and accuracy
Reliable and able to meet daily output expectations
Good written communication
Desirable (but not essential)
Previous data migration or data entry project experience
Experience working with large volumes of files or records
