Senior Software Asset Management (SAM) Specialist

Our client is seeking a Senior Software Asset Management (SAM) Specialist to support a DHS client by delivering enterprise-level software licensing and asset management expertise. This role supports software licensing optimization, procurement support, and overall, SAM program effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Perform Software Licensing Optimization (SLO) and procurement support activities
Provide expertise on industry-standard software licensing models
Support management of major software publishers and enterprise licensing agreements
Assist with software entitlement tracking and compliance activities
Support the Project Manager in meeting program and contractual requirements
Ensure alignment with DHS and USCIS operational priorities, systems, and policies
Provide guidance and recommendations on software asset management best practices
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Public Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
More than 8 years of experience providing software asset management and licensing expertise
Preferred Skills & Competencies
Strong Flexera background preferred
Experience supporting DHS systems preferred
Knowledge of enterprise software licensing and procurement processes
Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
