About the Role
Weâre seeking an IT Support Specialist with a solid foundation in endâuser support with handsâon troubleshooting experience with Microsoft Windows Server & Windows 11 Professional operating systems. The ideal candidate holds a CompTIA A+ certification and thrives in a fastâpaced setting; troubleshooting computer workstations, maintaining servers, and partnering with users to maximize productivity through the use of Information Management and Technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Help-Desk & EndâUser Support productivity
- Provide Tier 1â2 support for hardware, OS, and application issues (Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, browsers, printers, peripherals).
- Diagnose and resolve incidents and documenting of steps/resolutions.
- Windows Server Administration
- Support Windows Server (2016/2019/2022): patching, backup/restore, performance monitoring.
- Manage Active Directory (users, groups, OUs), Group Policy, and basic DNS/DHCP tasks.
- Endpoint Management & Security
- Image and deploy computer workstations and mobile devices; maintain standard configurations.
- Apply security best practices (least privilege, MFA support, antivirus/EDR monitoring).
- Partner with 3rd party security providers.
- Perform system updates, patches, and routine security checks.
- Network Fundamentals
- Assist with basic network troubleshooting (switches/APs, VLAN awareness, IP addressing, TCP/IP).
- Support office LAN and Wi-Fi connectivity
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or vendors as needed.
- Asset & License Management
- Track devices, warranties, and software licenses; maintain accurate inventory records.
- Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Create/update knowledge base articles and SOPs.
- Identify opportunities to streamline support processes and improve user experience.
- Create/maintain IT infrastructure documentation
- Projects
- Participate in server maintenance, migrations, device refreshes, and application/hardware rollouts.
- Participate/Manage other IT related projects
- Required Qualifications
- CompTIA A+ certification (active).
- 2â5 years of professional IT support experience in a corporate or MSP environment.
- Handsâon experience with Windows Server administration (user management, GPOs, patching, backups).
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
- Proficiency with Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), and common business applications.
- Strong customer service mindset with excellent communication and problemâsolving skills.
- Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications.
- Experience with Intune/Microsoft Endpoint Manager, imaging tools.
- Familiarity with PowerShell for routine admin tasks and automation.
- Exposure to virtualization (HyperâV/VMware) and backup solutions.
- Experience supporting macOS/iOS/Android in mixed environments.
- Experience using a ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Zendesk) and writing clear documentation.

- Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: ($70K - $95K) per year, commensurate with experience.
