We are developing a limited series inspired by the life of a pioneering aviator. The series spans Texas, Chicago, France, and the emerging world of early aviation.

We are seeking a high-level concept artist to help define the visual tone of the project for use in a premium pitch package. We are looking for a small number of powerful images that communicate atmosphere, scale, emotion, and world.

What We Need

We are looking to commission approximately 5–8 key concept pieces to support the visual identity of the series. The work should feel cinematic, emotional, and historically grounded.

Visual Direction

We are interested in images that evoke:

  • early aviation as dangerous, physical, and transcendent
  • 1920s America and France with texture and authenticity
  • emotional scale, not just historical accuracy
  • atmosphere, movement, weather, light, and danger
  • a premium film/television pitch-deck aesthetic

Tone references include the visual ambition and emotional atmosphere of premium historical dramas, aviation cinema, and filmmaker-driven limited series.

We are especially interested in artists who can combine period realism, cinematic composition, and atmospheric storytelling.

Ideal Artist:

You should have experience with one or more of the following:

  • Film/TV concept art
  • Historical or period environments
  • Aviation, vehicles, or mechanical design
  • Cinematic key frames
  • Pitch deck / development art
  • Atmospheric world-building
  • Character-in-environment imagery

The style should feel grounded, elegant, and emotionally charged.

Deliverables

Initial scope:

  • 5–8 finished cinematic concept images
  • Rough thumbnails before final approval
  • High-resolution files suitable for inclusion in a pitch deck
  • Layered files preferred
  • Full rights/work-for-hire terms to be discussed before contract start
  • **We may begin with one paid test/key image before expanding into the full set***

We are looking for an artist with strong taste, cinematic instincts, and the ability to help make a historical aviation story feel raw, emotional, and visually unforgettable.
