- *About the Role**
As a Full Stack Media Systems Administrator at careerzynith, you will be responsible for providing technical support and services related to media and general media (AV) systems. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical support for all media and AV systems in the studio, including conference rooms, "Dailies"/digital review rooms, A/V trucks, and more.
- Assisting in the planning and design of media and AV systems and spaces.
- Collaborating closely with the Media teams at our Burbank and Vancouver studio locations to ensure a consistent artist experience across studio sites.
- Providing tier 1 support for all studio employees, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Working with other technology teams on a case-by-case basis to provide support and expertise.
- Installing and supporting a wide range of software, both internal and external.
- Supporting various equipment and build processes, including Mac, Linux, iOS, and Windows, as well as related software and peripherals.
- Providing basic support for some server and network equipment on a case-by-case basis.
- Working with studio leadership to continually improve technical support systems and strategies.
- Helping to define how end-user support should be structured, delivered, standardized, and communicated.
- Creating detailed documentation of processes and procedures.
- Maintaining a flexible schedule, including possible evening or weekend work.
- *Essential Capabilities**
- At least 2 years of experience with media and AV technology, related technical/client support, preferably in a production setting.
- Strong experience with AV technology and trends. Familiarity with AV equipment like professional projectors, sound/video directing hardware, mixers, speakers, large displays, and more.
- Mastery of common video conferencing platforms, such as Zoom, Google Meet, and MS Teams, as well as equipment platforms like Cisco and Poly.
- Working knowledge of Mac operating system, iOS, and Windows operating systems. Experience with Linux desktop.
- Knowledge of remote desktop technologies, like HP Anywhere (Teradici) and HP Remote Graphics Software (RGS).
- Experience with ticket tracking, technical support tools, documentation platforms, and diagnostic tools.
- Proficiency with productivity applications like OpenOffice, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
- Ability to analyze, repair, or replace PC hardware components (hard drives, graphics cards, memory modules, fans, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer service orientation.
- Highly independent. Able to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous and competing tasks.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, install, design, and maintain workstations/PCs, and mobile devices.
- *Preferred Capabilities**
- Experience designing and building complex AV systems, wire coordination, and more.
- Experience with control systems, like Q-Sys, Crestron, or AMX.
- Experience with professional secure streaming platforms, like Sohonet or Evercast.
- Strong knowledge of PC hardware and components, A+ or equivalent computer systems certification.
- Active involvement in Linux administration.
- Strong Mac/Windows system administration skills.
- Experience with/interest in pre-production/coding.
- Experience with CG animation, VFX, or game development software and pipelines.
- *Education**
- BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Broadcast Communications, or related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- *Compensation and Benefits**
The employing range for this position in California is $85,300 - $114,400 per year, based on a 40-hour work week. The actual salary offered will consider internal value and may vary based on the candidate's geographic location, work-related experience, skills, and qualifications, among other factors. A bonus or long-term incentive units may be given as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of clinical, financial, or other benefits, depending on the level and position advertised.
