As a Patient Account Representative II - Call Center/Customer Service, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, insurance companies, and other external stakeholders while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. You'll work closely with our team to update and document financial data, resolve analytic report issues, and participate in A/R clean-up projects.   • *Key Responsibilities**
  • Make or answer phone calls to or from hospital and/or physician group customers, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Maintain required levels of productivity and quality while managing tasks to ensure timeliness of analytic report resolution.
  • Utilize identified and known resources to accomplish analytic report follow-up, including payor websites, provider service lines, analytics, and correspondence.
  • Participate in A/R clean-up projects or other projects identified by leadership.
  • Take ownership of assignments and other duties as assigned or requested.
  • Communicate and listen effectively with internal and external customers, ensuring effective understanding of instructions and sharing of knowledge.
  • Cooperate and interact with supervisors, peers, other departments, and all customer groups, demonstrating our commitment to service excellence.
  • Provide training to new or existing staff as directed by leadership, when necessary.
  • Work to identify ways to reduce calls or wait times, which will increase customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities and initiative amongst peers and coworkers.
  • *Essential Qualifications**
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent (required)
  • One or more of the following systems or applications: Epic, SSI, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word (preferred)
  • 1-2 years previous customer service experience (preferred)

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting or revenue cycle environment
  • Knowledge of medical billing and medical terminology
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance
