- *Job Summary**
As an Experienced Full Stack Customer Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing all phases of store operations, including customer service, cash register operations, and visual merchandising. You will work closely with the store manager and assistant managers to implement plans to meet daily sales goals, increase average sale per transaction, and sales per square foot. You will also supervise employees, train new hires, and ensure that all employees provide friendly and courteous customer service.
- *Key Responsibilities**
- Participate in the implementation of plans to meet daily sales goals and increase average sale per transaction and sales per square foot in assigned store
- Supervise employees in association with senior members of management and act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager and the Assistant Store Managers
- Participate as a member of the store management team in performing and supervising activities related to merchandise arrangement, visual displays, and space allocation according to merchandising plans
- Ensure that all employees provide friendly, courteous customer service and satisfaction
- Respond to requests for management assistance in a helpful and accommodating manner
- Train new hires in register operations and customer service
- Support the mission of careerzynith by exhibiting a willingness to supervise persons with barriers to employment
- Monitor cashier supplies on a daily basis to ensure adequate amounts are on hand at each station
- Ensure that register areas are maintained in a clean and orderly manner
- Provide store manager with a weekly list of needed supplies
- Maintain merchandise outposts and displays surrounding the entry and check out area of the store as an assigned "area of responsibility"
- Verify quantity, quality, and dollar value of merchandise received in the store
- Evaluate pricing of goods and make and report any necessary adjustments according to established procedure
- Determine the value and price of some merchandise such as housewares, shoes, purses, books, and electronics in accordance with company pricing guidelines
- Complete all reports and documents that are to be submitted on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Assist in the control of inventory and loss of merchandise due to errors, internal shrinkage, and shoplifting
- Take appropriate action in preventing such losses under the direction of the Store Manager
- Maintain security of all cash and store receipts
- Take daily deposits to the bank as assigned by the Store Manager or an Assistant Manager
- Attend all in-service training sessions, including First Aid/CPR training as scheduled
- Perform all basic responsibilities common to all careerzynith store management positions, i.e., perform cash register transactions
- Attend to any after-hours emergencies that occur in the store in the absence of the Store Manager
- Address facility maintenance and security issues in the absence of the Store Manager
- Monitor the proper use of store equipment to minimize need for repairs and replacement
- Perform any and all functions pertaining to the opening and closing of the store
- Direct and perform housekeeping and recovery duties
- In the absence of the store manager or assistant managers, follow and enforce all safety rules and regulations
- Complete and submit any necessary forms and/or reports immediately, but no longer than 24 hours, when an incident occurs in the store
- Maintain current certifications in First Aid and CPR and administer First Aid and CPR as required
- *Essential Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, and percentages
- One year cashier experience, supervising experience helpful
- Retail experience and visual merchandising skills a plus
- Must have insured vehicle for store-related travel
- Must have home or cell phone
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must have a valid state resident driver's license, with a good driving record
- Must be eligible for positive outcome on required resident state criminal conviction background check
- Must maintain appropriate requirements for legal vehicle operation including current automobile insurance and license plates
- Must maintain compliance with careerzynith's Drug and Alcohol Abuse Policy

- Knowledge of visual merchandising, inventory management, and cash handling procedures
