As an Online Chat Text Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our 988 Crisis Chat Program. This position requires a strong understanding of crisis intervention principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for supervising a team of Crisis Chat Counselors, providing guidance and support, and ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of quality.

  • *Responsibilities**
  • Provide individual supervision to Crisis Chat Counselors, ensuring that they receive the necessary support and guidance to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor all crisis chats and texts, providing feedback and coaching to Counselors as needed.
  • Conduct weekly individual supervision sessions with Counselors, focusing on performance improvement and quality assurance.
  • Complete weekly quality assurance reports, analyzing data and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement training programs for new Crisis Chat Counselors, ensuring that they receive comprehensive training and support.
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Crisis Services to discuss program operations, concerns, and potential improvements.
  • Participate in supervision, in-service training, and staff meetings, maintaining good working relationships with colleagues and contributing to a positive team environment.
  • Complete all administrative duties, including time sheets, leave requests, and other tasks as assigned.
  • *Key Qualifications**
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as counseling or social work, with a minimum of 120 college credits.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as counseling or social work, with a minimum of 30 graduate school credits.
  • 1 year of experience in mental health services, preferably in crisis intervention services, suicide prevention, and intervention.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to function successfully in an environment requiring immediate response to urgent situations.
  • Spontaneous supervision of staff in real-time, with a strong understanding of crisis intervention principles.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with local and statewide community resources.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Computer skills with various software, including Microsoft Products, and the internet.
