Job Description
As our #AAA team continues to grow, weâre looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist to support participants across the Canberra region. Depending on your location, youâll have the opportunity to work close to home.
As an experienced clinician, youâll bring your expertise to a supportive and collaborative environment where you can make a meaningful impact in the lives of your participants, contribute to team development, and continue growing professionally.
Manage an allocated caseload (based on your negotiated hours) and deliver timely therapeutic services
Assess participantsâ developmental, cognitive, emotional, psychological and physical function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments
Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant
Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help participants enhance their quality of life and meet their goals
Maintain awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to support participant outcomes
Caseload will be tailored to your experience, interests and professional goals
Support the growth and development of graduates and early career clinicians.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
Current Occupational Therapy membership with AHPRA
Experience as an Occupational Therapist or Senior Occupational Therapist beyond graduation
Passionate about communityâbased support for people with disability
Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment
Desire to mentor graduates and early career clinicians
