Golang SDET

Preferred Skills and Experience:

5+ years experience in QA automation/ SDET roles

Strong background in hands on Golang development for back end services/ APIs

Experience with QA automation related to API testing efforts

Well versed in integration testing

Solid understanding of Git and GitLab CI/CD pipelines

Strong knowledge of testing fundamentals, automation strategies, and Agile development practice

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Nice to Have:

Playwright

JS/ TS skills

Day to day:

An employer is looking for an API SDET Engineer to sit remotely. You will be part of the clients ecommerce QA team, focused on testing efforts related to their API environment and helping to mature their end- to- end testing. You will create/ implement automated tests for APIs and utilize the current framework to ensure optimal functionality. You will enhance the automation framework for new/ existing functionality and coordinate testing activities as part of the Agile team. You will identify/ record defects related to the API aspects for the web/ mobile applications and optimize the testing environment as needed for process improvement. Additional tasks will include:

Build and execute API test automation for backend and integration services.

Integrate web, mobile, and API automated tests into GitLab CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.

Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and QE partners to define quality requirements and ensure appropriate test coverage.

Investigate automation failures, identify root causes, and continuously improve test reliability and execution stability.

Maintain automation documentation, test data, environment configurations, and execution standards.

Advocate for automation best practices, shift‑left testing, and testability improvements across Agile teams.
