Math Curriculum Reviewer, gt.school (Remote) - $100,000/year USD
You're someone who catches fraction errors before they reach students. You have taught or tutored middle-school learners in grades 4–8 (or bring comparable expertise and classroom instincts), you deliver feedback students can immediately act on, and you refuse to let imprecise math slip into instructional materials.
We are developing an AI-driven math content platform that produces questions, articles, and videos at volume, but we do not accept that volume justifies compromised accuracy or unclear pedagogy. The market prioritizes "create faster." Our focus is "deliver correctly." Your role serves as the human checkpoint that prevents thousands of learners from absorbing an AI's plausible errors, vague explanations, or subtly weakened rigor.
This position centers on rigorous quality control of AI-generated middle school mathematics content: verifying correctness, reasoning, grade alignment, and instructional soundness; identifying conceptual pitfalls, unclear language, and faulty logic; and delivering concise, structured feedback that enables rapid remediation by another team. This work demands precision, uncompromising standards, keen observation, and absolute intolerance for mathematically flawed or pedagogically damaging content.
You will function as the final checkpoint in the content workflow before publication, reviewing material submitted through spreadsheets or a proprietary interface and converting your assessment into clear issue documentation. If you can work efficiently without sacrificing accuracy, flag problems without overwriting, and prioritize student outcomes over diplomatic language toward an algorithm, you are a strong candidate.
- What You Will Be Doing
- Evaluating AI-generated mathematics questions, articles, and videos to detect flaws in mathematical correctness, academic rigor, pedagogical effectiveness, and grade-level suitability, and delivering structured, actionable feedback that allows another team to revise the content before student exposure.
- Math Curriculum Reviewer Key Responsibilities
- Confirm that AI-generated mathematics instructional content undergoes thorough quality validation for mathematical correctness, academic rigor, and pedagogical clarity.
- Basic Requirements
- You hold a university degree in Mathematics or Education or a related discipline
- You possess at least 4 years of professional experience in teaching, tutoring, or EdTech curriculum development with a focus on mathematics for grades 3–8
- You have working knowledge of Direct Instruction (DI) teaching methodology
- You are presently located in the United States
