Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Social Worker for its client’s Looked After Children Team based in Staffordshire.
What will your responsibilities be?
Manage a caseload of children who are in the care of the local authority.
Develop, implement, and regularly review care plans tailored to each child’s needs.
Ensure children’s placements (foster care, residential care, kinship care) are safe, stable, and supportive.
Promote the child’s health, education, and emotional wellbeing, ensuring access to appropriate services.
Maintain regular contact with children through statutory visits and direct work.
Prepare and present reports for Looked After Child Reviews.
Work closely with birth families, carers, schools, health professionals, and other agencies.
Support children through transitions, including reunification with family, adoption, or leaving care.
Advocate for the child’s voice to be heard in all aspects of planning and decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
Social Work England registration
Eligibility to work in the UK
A full UK driving licence
Post-qualified experience
A degree in Social Work (or equivalent)
