Turn Reality into Intelligent Models That Drive Real-World Construction
We're looking for a BIM Reality Capture Specialist who thrives at the intersection of cutting-edge reality capture technology and BIM modeling.
In this role, you won't just model-you'll translate real-world environments into high-precision digital assets that power design, renovation, and construction decisions across major US-based projects.
If you enjoy solving complex spatial challenges, working with advanced scan data, and building models that actually get used-not just stored-this is your opportunity to level up.
What You'll Own
You'll take raw reality capture data and turn it into accurate, usable, decision-ready BIM models.
Transform laser scans, LiDAR, and Matterport data into detailed Revit models
Build existing-condition models used for real project decisions-not theoretical work
Model across architecture, structure, and MEP systems based on real-world conditions
Identify and resolve scan gaps, inconsistencies, and coordination issues
Deliver high-quality outputs (views, sheets, schedules, reports) aligned with US standards
Collaborate daily with US-based project teams in a fast-paced, remote environment
Why This Role Is Different
This is not a typical BIM role.
You'll be working in one of the fastest-growing areas in AEC: Reality Capture + Scan-to-BIM
Your models directly impact design accuracy and construction outcomes
You'll gain exposure to US standards and global project delivery
You'll develop expertise in interpreting imperfect data into precise models
You'll have opportunities to improve workflows, automation, and efficiency
Growth & Career Opportunity
High performers in this role typically evolve into:
Scan-to-BIM Subject Matter Experts
BIM Leads / Coordinators
Automation & Digital Delivery Specialists
You'll build a future-proof skillset in digital construction, with increasing ownership over standards, workflows, and innovation.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
Minimum 3ā5 years (or more) of relevant BIM modeling experience in architecture, structure, or MEP.
Minimum 2 years of experience working with point cloud or Matterport-based scan-to-BIM workflows.
Experience supporting US-based projects or working with US documentation standards (preferred).
Proficient in Autodesk Revit (Architecture / Structure / MEP modules as applicable).
Comfortable handling point cloud data and interpreting scan geometry accurately.
Familiar with Navisworks for model review and coordination.
Good understanding of Architecture, Structure, and MEP systems for accurate modeling of existing conditions.
Strong command of English (written & verbal) for remote communication and documentation.
Ability to follow established BIM workflows, templates, and quality standards with strong attention to detail.
Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across time zones.
Preferred / Plus Skills
Experience working on retail, warehouse, commercial, or industrial projects.
Familiarity with Common Data Environments (CDE) such as BIM 360, ACC, or SharePoint.
Exposure to automation tools such as Dynamo or basic scripting for workflow efficiency.
Experience contributing to template development or family creation in Revit.
Understanding of scan accuracy tolerances and QA/QC processes in Scan-to-BIM workflows.
Experience using EdgeWise for automated feature extraction from point clouds (especially for MEP systems such as piping and ductwork)
What Success Looks Like (First Year)
Deliver high-accuracy BIM models trusted by project teams
Reduce rework through strong QA/QC and coordination discipline
Become a go-to contributor for scan-to-BIM workflows
Improve efficiency through process or automation enhancements
A True Career Move
This role is a true career move, not just another modeling job.
You'll:
Work on real, complex US-based projects
Build expertise in a high-demand, future-facing skillset
Deliver work that has visible, real-world impact
Compensation:
The pay for this position will be determined based on wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, location, and experience
