Chief Accountant (f/m/d)
JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Chief Accountant (f/m/d) to join our finance team.
Are you a detail-oriented Accountant with a passion for numbers? We’re seeking an experienced professional to join our finance team at JELD-WEN Poland. As a key player in our organization, you’ll contribute to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role is a remote role, but it can be performed either from home as well as on our site at Lesznowola.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily tasks such as posting bank statements, allocating payments, and verifying documents
Managing employee expenses and maintaining personnel data
Preparation of payroll data for external provider
Posting of cost invoices
Preparation of monthly VAT returns
Maintaining contact with suppliers (monitoring payment terms, reconciling the balance of settlements, etc.)
Collaborating with our global branches in Austria, UK, and the USA
Collaborating with the wider European Finance team
Providing ongoing administrative support
Reconciliation of general ledger balances with sub-ledgers (accounts payable, warehouse, trade, banks, etc.)
Leading month-end closing and financial reporting
Preparing SOX control documentation and ensuring compliance
Handling US GAAP standards and reconciling ledger balances
Confirming Intercompany transactions
Managing weekly cash flow and intercompany forecasts
Leading state tax and statutory audits including statutory financial statements preparation and submission
Preparing reports and statements as and when required
Performing other ad-hoc tasks as needed
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
Minimum B2 level of English proficiency
Intermediate Excel skills
At least 5 years of accounting experience
Familiarity with EPR Comarch Optima (desirable)
Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
Knowledge of local GAAP
First knowledge in payroll would be an advantage

For this role we are offering a monthly salary between 15,000 and 18,000 PLN gross, depending on experience and defined according to transparent, objective criteria. We are searching for personalities that are used to work independently and to work in international organisational set-ups.
