Career Coach (Contract, Part-Time Modular Programs)
Overview
Flatiron School is seeking a part-time, contract-based Career Coach to provide on-demand, 1:1 support to our graduates pursuing roles in Software Engineering, Data, Cybersecurity, and AI.
Our grads are adult learners and career changers navigating a competitive job market. They're smart, motivated, and often anxious. Sometimes they need a cheerleader. Other times, they need to be challenged with kind and constructive feedback — or simply reminded why they started this journey in the first place. Your role is to meet each student where they are and help them take confident next steps.
What Coaching Means at Flatiron
“The skill of asking empowering questions to both support and challenge a person to make forward progress in pursuit of a goal.” That definition guides our approach. Coaches at Flatiron focus on asking, not telling. We believe our students are capable and resourceful, and we help them tap into their strengths while navigating real-world job search obstacles.

Engage with the peer teams via Slack as needed for support or alignment
Delivery remote workshops on job search skills to students and prospective students on a monthly basis
