Account Manager- Southwest Missouri Territory
This is a remote position.
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for establishing and maintaining profitable relationships with customers on behalf of the company and for actively prospecting new accounts and maximizing sales potential with existing customers. You must be a self-starter capable of identifying applications for products on our line card. This would include; PLC’s, Robotics, Sensors, Thermal Systems, Motion Control, AC Drives, Vision, Bar Code, etc. We do consultative selling with the intention of helping customers improve their processes. Good listening skills are a must.
Requirements
Promote and secure business from existing and prospective clients through a consultative selling
approach.
Identify and pursue sales leads, prospective new clients and move them through the sales pipeline from
qualification to close stages.
Initiate outgoing cold calling and emailing to potential customers, schedule in-person sales appointments, and follow up on client requests for information.
Qualify prospective customers quickly by fact-finding to identify decision-makers, pain points, competition, budget, timeline, and other potential obstacles.
Create a competitive analysis, identify industry and product trends, and position Ramco as the clear and obvious choice.
Present our solutions to prospects on your own or with the assistance of the Application Engineers &Vendor reps. Assist the customers in selecting the best solution for their needs.
Participate in training opportunities, self training, company sponsored events and supplier based training.
Meet or surpass the monthly quota for sold business and lead requirements/revenue -generating activities.
Coordinate with the accounts receivable department to ensure that all invoices are paid in full in a timely manner by your customers.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Education at the college level preferred or 2 years of related sales experience
Self-motivated, results-oriented, organized, energetic, and capable of staying cool under pressure from multiple ongoing projects.
Read and comprehend Basic English. Must have legible handwriting, Typing and data entry skills
Demonstrate effective written, verbal and communication skills
Able to perform basic mathematical skills as related to business use
Ability to use Microsoft, Excel, Word, and Gmail.
Confident in making presentations or facilitating meetings to small or large groups
Understand general customer service philosophies
Resolve customer issues in a timely manner through gathering appropriate information, analyze, and communicate solution(s)
Driven by commitment to succeed through aligning work priorities with strategic goals and opportunities
Strives to continuously build sales knowledge and skills
Must be able to travel within sales territory 70% of the time
Must possess a valid state motor vehicle operator’s license and maintain an approved motor vehicle record (MVR)
